Quant Interview Self-Study Plan¶
A day-by-day notebook for my quantitative finance interview preparation. Questions are grouped by study day, with a separate page for each problem, my reasoning, and lessons to revisit.
Study modules¶
| Module | Questions | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | 4 questions with solutions | Notes imported |
| Day 2 | Questions 3–4 with solutions; 1–2 pending | In progress |
| Day 3 | 5 questions with solutions | Available |
| Day 4 | 5 questions with solutions, including the 3-part regression interview | Available |
| Day 5 | 4 questions with solutions | Available |
How I will use this notebook¶
- Attempt each question before looking at a solution.
- Record assumptions and explain the reasoning step by step.
- Check the result and compare alternative approaches.
- Note the key takeaway and return to questions that need more practice.
Day 1 contains the questions and solutions imported from my Notion study notes. Day 2 includes two new worked solutions, with two more questions to come. Day 3 brings together estimation, probability, and combinatorics. Day 4 opens with return regressions, log transformations, and model comparison, followed by subset counting, cube geometry, spherical variance, and conditional probability. Day numbers describe study sessions rather than calendar dates; topics are listed per question.
